Day 29- Luna Park, Kotel, Give Kumzitz
By: Atara Blatt
Today, on our last full day on GIVE, we had the opportunity to go to a super fun amusement park with an organization for kids with cerebral palsy and other physically deficiencies. We were able to brighten their day by taking them on the rides. We also had lunch with them. Then we went back to Mevaseret to pack. After we finished packing, we went to the kotel for the last time this summer. We got to hear a very inspirational speech by one of our advisors, Sara Gdanski. We also had the chance to read letters we wrote to ourselves and wrote new letters for our future selfs. We then davened at the kotel. We had dinner and a beautiful night activity. During the night activity we did 2 things. One, we all sat in a circle and closed our eyes. Talia Molotsky, the awesome bus director, picked a couple of people to go into the circle. Talia read a statement and those in the circle had to tap 3 people that demonstrated the statement. The second part of the night activity, the advisors wrote out the word GIVE using candles on the roof. We had an unforgettable kumzitz and went around saying a memory that stood out to us on GIVE. After that, we all enjoyed our last night together as a GIVE family.
Day 28- Save a Childs Heart, Sarona Market, Blind Museam, Give vs Michlelet Basketball game
By: Atara Blatt
We started off our early and amazing day, by eating delicious cinnamon buns and eggs. First we with travelled to Holon to SACH (Save A Childs Heart-an organization for kids who need to have heart surgeries). We learned about it and had the opportunity to play with the adorable kids. They come from all over the world to have these surgeries even though it wasn’t easy for them, so we were able to make them happy and distract them from all their hardships by playing with them. After that we had some free time at the sarona mall in Tel Aviv. Then we went to a park to have our chaburas, and Pizza Hut for lunch! We finished our lunch and went to the blind museum. In the blind museum, we walked through 7 rooms, and had to use our hands to touch the objects in the room to find out what room we are in. It was so incredible having the chance to experience for just 1 and a half hours how a blind person lives their life. It makes us realize how you can see even without using your eyes. But to appreciate even more how Hashem gave us the gift of vision. Then we went to a youth group, where we made bracelets with girls not so much younger than us. We made one for us and one to donate. It was so much fun! Lastly we went to Michlelet’s base for a basketball game. There, we ate dinner, and heard a very inspirational speech by Mrs. Yudin. Unfortunately we lost (41-33) but it was still incredibly fun! Overall Today was a lot of fun, and I am so sad that GIVE is coming to an end. It was definitely the BEST SUMMER EVER!!
Day 27- Blind factory, swimming, One Family Fund run, Q and A with Rav Katz
By: Yael Marcus
Today is Sunday. Us GIVE girls got up, packed our bags, davened and had breakfast in Nativ Aryeh. Then we set off for the Blind factory, a workshop that employs the blind, deaf, and other kinds of people with disabilities. We helped unpack, gather, and put together electrical parts for the use of the factory. We toiled, yet I felt that we had an important role in helping those people and making their lives easier. Then we were driven to an pool where they had only women swimming. When we arrived we ate falafel for lunch (the usual). Some of the GIVErs relaxed by the side of the pool in the shade, and some preferred to swim and splash in the water. Either way we had an incredible time just being together, having fun with each other, and bonding as a group. When we were done, we were driven to a forest. There we took part in a walkathon for One Family, an organization that provides support for victims of terror. Some other camps joined us there as well such as GIVE 2 and Mach Hach. The campers were a sea of red shirts and the terror victims wore white. We heard multiple victims speak about how they regained strength after the tragedies they encountered. We had dinner, and after that we had a ceremony led by One Family. A choir of bereaved fathers got up on stage and sang, and we watched a video about the support One Family provides for terror victims. Then Racheli FrankeaI spoke to us about אהבת חינם and Am Yisroel being one big family. I was inspired by the incredible perseverance and courage of the speakers who I believe are no less then warriors. When we were done we headed back to Mevaseret and had a question and answer session with Rabbi David Katz.
Day 26- Shabbas Kodesh in Old City, Jerusalem
By: Shayna Maltinsky
This shabbos GIVE had the special chance to stay in the old city of yerushalayim at Nativ aryeh. After taking lots of pre shabbos photos, we walked the 5 minutes down to the kotel to welcome in the shabbos. It was a very special and emotional time for the group being the last shabbos, and it showed in everyone’s ruach and enthusiasm. We had a beautiful kiddush at Bina’s Bubbas’s home, and delicious lunch at Nativ. Afterwards, Rabbi Felderman treated us to a special tour of the history of the old city. Then, returning to Nativ, we had a fantastic open learning session with great snacks. The most meaningful part of my shabbos was a kumzitz we held right in front of the kotel at around 1 in the morning. Girls from other programs and backgrounds joined us. As our voices came together as one, we all took another step closer to the unity of the jewish people.

Day 25- Mea Shearim and Mahane Yehuda
By: Rachel Eisenstein
Greetings from the Old City! Our day started out in Geula on a shopping trip. The entire bus of the girls scattered down the road, buying many things ranging from engraved siddurim to baked goods to customized kippot to potato kugel. On our way from Geula to the Shuk, we ran into the Jolt bus and there were many happy reunions between campers on Give and Jolt. We had the unique opportunity to be given lunch coupons which means that we can choose from many different options for what to each for lunch. We also were given a few shekels to buy a gift for the girl who we have for shabbat o grams. We then went to the old city to get ready for shabbas. We’re all so excited for the inspiring Shabbos to come.
Day 24- Chocolate Workshop, Ben Yehudah scavenger hunt, Yad Sarah, Visit from the Lukins, Mishmar with Mrs. Kaminetsky, Baketball night activity
By: Riti Skulnik
Today we went to a chocolate factory, where we learned how it’s made and then we made our own customized chocolates. It was such a blast and a cool experience learning how my favorite food is made! Afterwards we went to have a nice lunch in the park and then did a scavenger hunt on Ben Yehuda street. My team and I did everything from dancing with soldiers to giving strangers a hug. It was so funny and we managed to complete the whole list. It was also a great bonding activity between our team. After this fun activity we got a tour off an incredible organization called Yad Sarah that supports families who need medical help and disabled people. The facilities were endless and it was mind blowing seeing how many people they help on average. It made me incredibly grateful that there are places that do amazing chessed like this. Then when we got back we had a tasty burgers bar dinner from the Lukins. We quickly went to mishmar with Mrs. Kaminetsky with many snacks! We ended off our amazing day with basketball practice for the give/michlelet basketball game next week!
Day 23- Nefesh BNefesh Flight, Tachana Rishona, Zichron Menacham Carnival, Talent Show
By: Graci Dusi
Today is Wednesday July 24, 2019 and though it’s an ordinary summer weekday for most, for the עולים חדשים that we greeted this morning it’s a day they will never forget. Last night we made posters to welcome home the עולים and this morning we cheered, sang, and danced as they walked through the doors in the Ben Gurion airport. It was amazing to see the unity in עם ישראל as strangers celebrated aliyah together. We then headed to תכנה ראשונה for lunch and free time (shout out to Ayala who always takes care of our food). Like many, my first stop was rebar cause why not, it’s amazing (and like 100 degrees). We had a couple great hours walking around, going into random shops, and of course taking pictures. After our nice chilled time, we went to Gan Sacher where we helped run a carnival for the families of the organization Zichron Menachem. We had an amazing time playing soccer, running arts and crafts, doing face paint, and more with the kids. We got pizza for dinner for us and all the families (again thanks to Ayala) and I think most of us ate more pizza than ever before. Finally we got back to our home, mevs, and had a pretty epic talent show. There are a lot of talented people here on give bus one. Some acts had us seriously amazed and the comedies had us cracking up. Overall it was an 11/10 kinda day which is pretty sweet.
